8-Week Acting Course Brief

Course Objective

The 8-Week Acting Course offered by Not Too Tame aims to provide participants with a comprehensive foundation in acting techniques, develop their stage presence, and enhance their ability to convey compelling stories. The course is designed to be immersive, engaging, and reflective of Not Too Tame’s high-octane and heart-on-sleeve storytelling approach.

In week eight, participants will perform monologues and/or scene work as part of an industry showcase performance.

Previous showcase attendees included:

• Agents

• Artistic directors

• Television production companies

• Casting Directors

• Industry creatives (including Jimmy McGovern).

VENUE: Shakespeare North Playhouse, Prescot

TIME: 6.30 - 8.30pm

WHEN: Every Wednesday starting October 9th for eight weeks.

*WK 8 will be 4-8 pm for the dress run and showing.

What does it cost? : Fees are £650

(Part scholarships available*)

WHAT TO DO

Tell us a bit about yourself.

Show us a bit of what you can do!

• Please film a short video telling us a little about yourself (name, where you’re from, age and maybe what you love/hate or why you want to participate in the course).

• Then, perform a short monologue for us.

• The whole video should be no more than 3 mins MAX.

• Choose something that you really connect to, excites you or shows us who you are.

• Please then upload your video privately to YouTube, Vimeo or similar and send the link for us to view to info@nottootame.com with the heading:

“BOOTCAMP APPLICATION / ENTRY-LEVEL / (Your name) .

WHAT NEXT?

• All applicants will hear back by 4th October.

• Successful applicants must pay in full before the 6th of October *As places are limited, any offers not secured in time will be passed on to the next candidate in waiting.

  Classes will then start on the 9th October.
